Color lovers, unite! Join us for a deep dive ‘into the blue’ as we consider this compelling color through a variety of different mediums including cyanotypes, indigo dye, pastels, and watercolor. Begin the day with a short walk through the gardens and an opening meditation to inspire the creative work ahead. Selected readings and references to works in the collection will stimulate the senses to enrich this exploration each week. Over the course of the class, participants will produce several distinct pieces all inspired by the color blue: cyanotype prints, dyed textiles, cloud studies on paper, and a mini mosaic. If your intuition has led you this far, you just may be the curious and contemplative type for whom this class is designed!
