Join us in the studio this winter to strengthen your oil painting practice with artist Sylvia Nitti. This intermediate course is designed for folks who share a basic understanding of the oil painting process and are familiar with essential materials. Participants will deepen their existing knowledge while expanding their range to include new techniques and constructive insights. Course content includes live demonstrations, resource guides, personalized coaching, and time for collective reflection.

   

About the Instructor:
Born and raised in Cyprus, Sylvia Nitti developed a passion for painting that would eventually span continents. Her figurative paintings, drawings, and prints have been selected for numerous awards and juried exhibitions. Nitti’s recent work has been included in the Richeson 75 Small Works International Competition and was selected as a finalist in The Portrait Society of America’s International Portrait Competition. She has also received awards from Pastel Journal Magazine and the Pastel Society of the West Coast. Nitti has completed numerous portrait commissions for collectors in the United States and in Europe and worked on several large-scale mural projects in Texas, Oklahoma, Oregon and Kentucky. Currently, Nitti is gallery director and instructor at Northeastern State University.
