Lego Village: Important Details

We are excited to invite you to participate in our creative Lego Village display which will be a Festival feature from November 29th – December 31st. Festival draws more than 27,000 visitors celebrating the holiday season.

This will be a juried contest with prizes.  The four categories of participation included Child (17 and under), Class (school group), Family and Adult.  We look forward to your submission and are certain your Lego creation will delight Festival viewers. The Lego Village is an exciting addition to this treasured community event. Don’t forget to allow time to visit other museum exhibitions while you are at Philbrook. Docent guided tours are available by contacting Roselle Tyner at 918-748-5309.

Important Information

Theme:  Lego Village- Do not be afraid to stretch your imagination.  What fantastical creation can you create to include in the Philbrook Lego Village?

Deadline:  Entry forms should be sent in as soon as possible as space is limited to the first 30 submissions. Each entry must have an entry form. One entry per class, group or individual. Submissions are due Wednesday, November 6th.

Size:  Base size must be ¼” plywood or Lego base no larger than 20”Hx17”Wx17”D. All entries will placed in a vitrine.  If you have a desire to build outside of these parameters, please contact Evan Johnson, ejohnson@philbrook.org, to see you if you entry can be accommodate- please note, all entries larger than the size noted above will not be able to be placed in a vitrine.

Signage:  We will use the information on the entry form to make the signs for your Lego Creation, specifically:

  1. Title – Be sure to give your creation a title!
  2. School/Organization
  3. Class/Group/Individual
  4. Category- Child (17 and under)/Class (school group)/Family/Adult

Materials:  Legos and a sturdy base that does not exceed 1/4th”.  Battery operated parts are welcome.  There will be no availability to power outlets.

Delivery:  Lego creations should be delivered through the Main Entrance of the Museum, Sunday, November 17th, 10:00am-3:00pm . Late submissions are not accepted unless arrangements have been made by Thursday, November 13th.

Pick Up: Lego pick-up will be at your convenience during open hours Thursday, January 2nd – Saturday, January 4th. Philbrook is open 9:00am-5:00pm on Thursday and Saturday, and 9:00am-9:00pm on Friday.

Thank You:  As our way of saying thank you for supporting this event, each entry will receive a Festival Family pass that covers the cost of 2 adults and 2 children to come experience a Festival Night of your choice!
