Tulsa Treasures: Private Collections in Public

Philbrook
Mar 15, 2020 - May 24, 2020

From a collection of 18th-century French objects carefully curated to inhabit a 1920s French-style home, to a deeply personal selection of regional art collected over two generations, Tulsa Treasures: Private Collections in Public will unveil some of the most fascinating privately owned objects in the community and shed light on the larger question:

Why do people collect art?

Organized around collectors’ shared motivations, this exhibition will demystify the practice of collecting, highlight the role of collectors in a thriving arts community, and inspire a new generation of local collectors across our community.
