In Spanish, Los Trompos translates to “The Spinning Tops.” Created by Mexico City-based artists, architects, and designers, Esrawe + Cadena, these giant tops are woven in the traditional style of Mexican artisans. Whether you choose to lounge with a good book in the sunshine, or gather friends to spin and play, Los Trompos invites visitors of all ages to experience joy, relaxation, and social connection.
Originally commissioned by the High Museum of Art in 2015, Los Trompos has since traveled the world, inspiring people of all ages and backgrounds to let loose and play. Don’t miss their first visit to Oklahoma at Philbrook’s new Tandy Pavilion in the Philbrook Gardens this summer!
