The Philbrook Museum of Art, Inc. (“Philbrook”) is committed to providing you with the highest level of service available. While using our website, you may be asked to submit personal information. This Privacy Policy statement explains our policies regarding this information.

These SMS Terms govern your use of Philbrook’s SMS messaging services, including updates, alerts, event information, promotions, and other communications related to Philbrook’s programs and services.

By opting in to Philbrook’s SMS communications (for example, by subscribing online, signing up at an event, or texting a keyword to a designated number), you consent to receive recurring text messages from or on behalf of Philbrook.

Philbrook’s SMS communications are supported by most major U.S. wireless carriers; however, Philbrook and the wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. 

Privacy and Data Use 

Philbrook respects your privacy. Personal information collected through SMS programs is used only for the purpose of delivering messages and improving your experience. We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile number or message data with unaffiliated third parties for their own marketing purposes. Changes to Terms 

Philbrook may revise or update these SMS Terms at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting the updated version on our website. Continued use of our SMS service after changes have been made constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. 

Credit Card Information

All credit card information is collected using Secure Socket Layer protection, which is accepted as an Internet standard. Your credit card number is held in our system only until the charge is processed by a secure, authorized credit card gateway provider and is then only available in limited format (last four digits) to members of our service team for problem resolution.

Transaction information, including the transaction number and the last four digits of the credit card, and additional personal information obtained are stored on our system and encrypted with Secure Socket Layer protection.

Use of Cookies

We use cookies on this website to ensure the integrity of the data that is sent to you and to provide other functionality for the website. A cookie is a small text file that is placed on your hard disk by an Internet server. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. Use of Web Beacons

We may sometimes use web beacons to assist in delivering cookies and to allow us to monitor certain statistics, such as the number of users who have visited certain pages. We may also include web beacons in our newsletters and emails in order to determine whether messages have been opened and acted upon. In addition, we may also employ web beacons from third parties in order to help us compile aggregated statistics and determine the effectiveness of our promotional campaigns. We prohibit web beacons on our website from being used by third parties to collect or access your personal information.

Facebook Login Utility

We give Facebook access to basic information (email, public profile information) to allow ease-of-use for users within the my.philbrook.org ticketing web application.  This utility offers the registration of your Facebook login credentials to log in to our Ticking platform.  This service is completely optional and not required to have a valid account registered on our Ticketing Web Application.

This login Utility also grants access to a user’s list of friends that also use the Utility. However, this information is not used for any sort of data collection for Philbrook’s business, and will be removed on August 1, 2018 to comply with GDPR.

Data Security

This website is maintained on an Internet server that is password protected with access granted to authorized users only. Staff personnel and agents granted permission to view certain administrative functions of the site are able to access the administrative area of the site where personal information may be stored and accessible only through a password and username.

Disclosure of Information

We may disclose personal information to third parties if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (i) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process, (ii) protect and defend our or any of our affiliates’ rights or property, or (iii) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of our personnel or members of the public.

Guarantees and Warranties

Philbrook and its affiliates, agents, or other persons developing and producing this website are not liable for injury or damages caused by errors or omissions of information, delays in posting, interruptions in service, or loss of data supplied by the user. You agree that this website is provided “as-is,” “with all faults,” and “as available.” We do not guarantee the accuracy or timeliness of information available from our website. In addition, we reserve the right to change, discontinue or modify any or all services provided through our website either temporarily or permanently without out notice to users.

Third Parties

We may hire other companies to provide limited services on our behalf, such as website hosting, packaging, mailing, customer relations, and other services. If we provide personal information to such companies, we only provide the personal information they need to deliver the service. They are required to maintain the confidentiality of the information and are prohibited from using that information for any other purpose.

Children

We are committed to protecting the privacy of children. We do not collect personally identifiable information from any person we actually know is under the age of 13.
