Meet our Garden Cats
We currently have one feline friend living and “working” in the Philbrook Gardens. She helps with pest control and the guests love her. Our cat lives a lavish life with heat in the winter and A/C in the summer. Keep an eye out and your camera ready on your next visit. She’s quite used to the paw-parazzi at this point.
Meet Cleome:
Our senior (yet still very young) Garden Cat, Cleome was dropped here as a kitten. We’ve raised her like our own ever since. But don’t be fooled by that sweet little face, she’s a hunter at heart. All of our cats provide a certain level of pest control. Cleome seems to think it’s a competition. Favorite movie: The Terminator.
Meet Acer (retired 2020):
By far the most outgoing and active of the Philbrook felines so far, Acer never missed an opportunity to photobomb a senior portrait session or crash a wedding. He particularly enjoyed sneaking into employee card and refusing to get out.
Acer crossed the rainbow bridge at the end of last year. Acer was born in the summer of 2006 and spent the majority of his years here in the Philbrook Gardens, touching the lives of so many staff, guests, and far beyond. Acer retired in 2020, living out his golden years in the comfortable, loving home of a Philbrook staff member. When it comes to CATS, Acer was the GOAT. His Philbrook stories live on.
