Join artist and jewelry-smith Katy Bruce and explore the art of beadwork in this magical workshop. Katy will guide children to consider the art of adornment and its important role in self-expression. Bead, bend, and shape wires, stones, and beads to create magical talismans or tokens you can wear.

About the Teaching Artist
Katy Bruce is an artist that was born and raised in Tulsa, OK. She has been creating art since she was a young child, and it has always guided her life. She has been a jeweler for the past 7 years using wire and gemstones. She loves children and enjoys teaching child-led workshops. She also plans events and art shows in Downtown Tulsa.

What to Expect
All workshop participants will break for lunch between noon and 1:00pm. Please send your child to their workshop with a packed lunch and a water bottle. We will spend time in our gardens, so please ensure your child arrives with bug spray and sunscreen already applied, and bring extra for reapplication if necessary.

Before & After-Care
Before & After Care is offered for each day of Fall Break Workshops for an additional $10 per child. With the addition of Before & After Care to your ticket, you may drop your child off as early as 7:45am, and pick your child up at the end of the day between 4:00pm and 5:30pm.
