This class is part of the Stay Gold Sessions, a series of art and nature-inspired workshops for older adults ages 55+.
Grab a pencil and sharpen your skills in the studio during this introductory drawing course led by professional illustrator Barrie Lamberton. Study foundational techniques and complete exercises in line, value, form, texture, composition, and perspective. With an eye towards realism, you will cultivate observational skills to accurately depict objects, still life compositions, and portraiture. We will furnish a variety of drawing materials with which to experiment. Whether you’re a complete beginner or someone looking to refresh their technique, studio mornings provide a creative respite and supportive environment in which to make new friends while developing your artistic skills and expressive confidence. The final class will culminate in a celebratory event, allowing students to invite friends and family to view their work.
No artistic experience is necessary.
