In partnership with Tulsa City-County Library and the Hispanic Resource Center, Philbrook presents an afternoon of poetry organized by poet and Hispanic Resource Center Coordinator, Amairani Perez Chamu and co-hosted by Juan José Miret Carrasquero. Poems and readings, presented by local Latinx poets, writers and community members, will showcase pieces on the power of community.
The afternoon poetry showcase will feature work and readings by Joseph Bañuelos, Ana Barros, Gabie Castañeda, María Carmona Hernández, Michelle Lara, Natalia Rojas Lozano, Juan José Miret Carrasquero, Amairani Perez Chamu, and Max Juno Santiago.
Afterwards, bring poetry and the power of the written word to life in a hands-on artmaking workshop for all ages.
This event will take place in the Philbrook Gardens. Distanced seating on the lawn will be available for up to 100 guests.
