Welcome to Forage at Philbrook! Ranging anywhere from edible “weeds” to plants traditionally used for dyes, crafts, medicines, and construction, foraging has become an increasingly popular practice around the world over the past decade. This workshop is designed to educate, entertain, and encourage people in the community about local foraging and how to practice it best. Expect to learn the basics of foraging, what we forage for locally, and why foraging sustainably is so important. Forage at Philbrook will also provide the opportunity to take a walk through Philbrook’s own grounds to see and collect forage of your own!
This program involves an exploration of the gardens on some uneven surfaces, stairs, and steep-grade inclines. To request accessibility accommodations please e-mail GuestExperience@philbrook.org
