(Tulsa, Oklahoma) – On Thursday, January 21st, Philbrook Museum of Art will host Eames Demetrios: Design vs. Style and Other Eames Philosophies.
The event is presented in partnership with Art Directors Club of Tulsa.
Eames Demetrios is director of the Eames Office, dedicated to communicating, preserving, and extending the work of Charles and Ray Eames. His projects there include multimedia production, printed materials, toys, exhibition design, filmmaking and much more.
The objects Charles and Ray Eames designed are legendary for their beauty and utility, but the ideas behind them are just as beautiful and useful. Eames Demetrios, author of An Eames Primer, will provide a personal insider’s look at the designers, their process, philosophy and influence on the design world.
Mr. Demetrios will also be sharing a few treasures from the family archive as well as signing books and posters.
This event is free with museum admission.
