The 2007 Festival of Trees, Philbrook’s 23rd annual holiday fundraiser, will be chaired by Rita Singer. This year the festival will celebrate the exhibition, Frank Lloyd Wright and the House Beautiful with objects to brighten any home or garden.
The 2007 Festival of Trees will delight visitors of all ages with visual interpretations of the theme and the season and activities throughout the two weeks:
- Tulsa-area professional artists will provide unique interpretations of the theme for the art show and sale, and will be showcased in the museum and outside in the gardens.
- Area students will create fanciful gingerbread houses and holiday trees for display and sale.
- A series of beautifully decorated trees created by selected area designers will be on view and for sale as visitors enter the museum.
- The collectible Festival of Trees pin designed by Tulsa artist Leslie Headly will be for sale in the museum shop.
- Philbrook Docents will provide custom-designed tours each day which will include the exhibition, Frank Lloyd Wright and the House Beautiful., and the holiday traditions in the Villa. Tours are free with museum admission.
2007 Collectible Pin by Leslie Headly
The latest in a series of pins by local artists is created by Tulsa artist, Leslie Headly. The theme of the pins will be interpreted and individually crafted with a variety of colors and slightly different composition, as each with be subjected to a kiln firing process no less than two times after first being precisely hand-cut and ground, both before and between firings. The result will be an extraordinary offering to Philbrook patrons and art enthusiasts alike and may also be worn as a pendant or used as an ornament. Pins may be purchased in the Museum Shop for $30.

Holiday Trees, Decorations and Exhibits
This year's Festival will reflect the traditions of the holidays throughout the museum. Special decorations will celebrate the season. Other traditional elements in the 2007 Festival of Trees include:
- Beautifully decorated trees in the museum’s lobby to welcome visitors to the holiday season at Philbrook. Area decorators will donate their creations, which will be for sale to benefit the programs and operations of Philbrook.
Philbrook docents providing custom-designed tours each day. Tours include the special exhibit, Frank Lloyd Wright and the House Beautiful, and holiday traditions in the Villa.
Gingerbread Houses and Student Trees Reflect the Holidays
One of the most popular features of Festival of Trees will return as Philbrook displays eye-catching Gingerbread Houses and Student Trees incorporating the festival theme and the spirit of the holidays which are created by students throughout the area. This event is always popular with both big and little kids and offers a wonderful variety of gingerbreads to purchase, adding a special touch to your home for the holidays.
